The East Asia Program conducts research on Australia-China relations, China’s foreign policy and societal change, and Northeast Asian security dynamics, as well as on political and security issues in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. We co-organise the China Forum with the Australian Centre for China in the World (CIW). We are also responsible for the unique Lowy Institute-Rio Tinto China Fellowship.
